Patek Philippe has been made in Geneva since 1839 and is one of the most value-stable watch brands in the world. That is exactly why it pays to look closely when you sell: a Nautilus 5711 from the final production years, an Aquanaut 5167 or a yellow-gold Calatrava each have their own market. At our store in Charlottenburg we value your Patek Philippe individually and explain how our offer is calculated.
What matters when you sell a Patek Philippe
Between individual Patek Philippe references the difference can easily be five figures, so the exact reference number is the first step of every valuation.
- Nautilus and Aquanaut: the most sought-after models on the secondary market, for example Nautilus 5711, 5712, 5726, 5980 and 5990, and Aquanaut 5167, 5168 and 5164.
- Calatrava and complications: Calatrava models such as the 5196 or 5227, annual calendars (e.g. 5205, 5146), perpetual calendars, chronographs and world timers. Here movement, case material and condition drive the price more than market hype.
- Archive extract and papers: on request, Patek Philippe issues an extract from its archives confirming the year of manufacture and original specification. For watches without papers this can improve the price noticeably – we tell you honestly whether it is worth it for your watch.
- Service history: a documented factory service is a plus. We also buy watches that are due for a service and factor the cost in fairly.
How we inspect your Patek Philippe
- Reference, movement and case numbers: at Patek Philippe, movement and case carry their own numbers. If they match the reference and the papers, that is a strong sign of authenticity and originality.
- Movement and finishing: we check the movement through the display back or by opening the case.
- Case and bracelet: on the Nautilus and Aquanaut, the transitions between brushed and polished surfaces matter a great deal. Improper polishing is one of the most common causes of lost value.
- Papers and provenance: Certificate of Origin or warranty card, receipt, service records and, if available, an archive extract.

Frequently asked questions
What is my Patek Philippe Nautilus worth?
Mainly the reference – for example 5711, 5712, 5726 or 5980 – plus material, dial, condition and completeness. We give you a first price range from photos and the binding price after the inspection at our store.
Can I sell a Patek Philippe without papers?
Yes. We verify authenticity using the movement, the case and the engraved numbers. Missing papers lower the price; for some watches an archive extract from Patek Philippe can partly make up for this.
Do you also buy Calatrava and complicated Patek Philippe watches?
Yes. Besides the Nautilus and Aquanaut we buy Calatrava models, annual and perpetual calendars, chronographs and world timers in steel, gold and platinum.
Where can I sell my Patek Philippe in Berlin?
At ChronoMarket, Uhlandstraße 47, 10719 Berlin-Charlottenburg. Valuations take place discreetly by appointment; a first estimate is also possible via WhatsApp.
